G. (Jodia) Rutledge, 82, of Winder, passed away on December 1, 1969 at the Winder-Barrow Hospital following a long illness. She was born in Barrow County, georgia, on September 8, 1887, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Casper and was a member of the Chapel Christian Church. Funeral services for Mrs. Rutledge were held Tusday afternoon, December 2 at 3 o'clock at the Chapel Christian Church with the Rev. J. O. McNeal and Rev. Randy Rivers officiating. The remains lay in state from 2:30 unit the funeral hour. Mrs. Sara Jo Standridge sang "How Great Thou Art" and "In the Garden" accompanied by Mrs. Linda Gilmer, organist. Interment was in the church cemetery with Wise Funeral Home of Winder in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Rutledge is survived by two daughters, Mrs. A. D. Manus and Mrs. Ralph Villars, of Winder; six grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Additional Comments: This is a copy of a newspaper clipping from Mrs. A. D. Manus. There is no date on the clipping. Mrs. Manus is a daughter. Jodie Ida Belle Casper was married twice. She was first married to Charner V. Dillard on the 12 Oct 1913. Charner died in 1921 leaving her with 3 small children. She married Shug G. Rutledge Nov 2, 1924.
