Armstrong Additional Comments: James Francis Armstrong was born in South Carolina (maybe Rutherford County) came to Georgia before 1850. Lived in Cherokee, Cass, Bartow Counties. Served in CSA-Co. F 1st Regiment Georgia State Line, Georgia Blues", from Bartow Co. Georgia. James F. Armstrong is buried in Popular Springs Cemetery,near Adairsville, Bartow County, Georgia. Nancy Frances Addington was the daughter of John Addington and Rachel Miller. Nancy died in Kiowa Valley, New Mexico, and is buried there in the Des Moines Cemetery. She had gone to visit son, James T. Armstrong family when she died. Brother's William Huckabee Armstrong and James Thomas Armstrong both moved their families to Texas. William settled in Hardeman County, Texas, and James Thomas finally in Canadian, Hemphill County, Texas.
