He was a native of Bartow County, and a resident of Savannah for many years. He was a retired foreman for the Central of Georgia Railroad with over 30 years of service. He was a member of Solomon Lodge, and Immanuel Baptist Church, where he was a member of the board of deacons and the Patrick Men's Bible class. Surviving are a wife, Mrs. Blonnie Sessions Farrer of Savannah; a son, Ronald M. Farrer of Savannah; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Clark of Macon; five grandchildren, a niece and a great-nephew. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Immanuel Baptist Church, with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Sipples' Mortuary is in charge.
