Vet, 84, Who Voted For Lincoln Casts Ballot For G.O.P.

Fitzgerald, Ga., November 8 – John H. Shearer, a Union veteran, who voted for 
Lincoln for president in 1864, Tuesday cast his ballot here for Calvin 
Coolidge, his thirteenth republican candidate for president on a republican 
ticket.  Shearer is 84 years old and is still actively engaged in truck 
farming.
