ARLIE V. BATTON FUNERAL SERVICE SUNDAY Funeral rites for Mrs. Arlie V. Batton, who died at her home in the Vaughn district Friday morning were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Bethlehem church by Rev. Merritt, of Rebecca and interment followed in the Bethlehem churchyard. Four grandsons, Thomas Lawhorn, Echol Stone, Ralph Batton, and B. Gladden of Jacksonville, Fla. and two nephews J. McCuller and F.C. stone served as pall bearers. Honorary pall bearers included David L. Paulk, L. A. Hunter, Tharpe Fitzgerald, Bergeley Bowling, John B. Wise and Paul McIntyre. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Wright McCuller of Fitzgerald, and Mrs. Gladden of Jacksonville, Fla. and three sons, Charlie, Frank and Arthur, of this city. Additional Comments: The two daughters were Ida Batton McCuller and Emma Batton Gladden (Mrs. J.D. Gladden). B. Gladden was Bryant Gladden, son of Emma Batton Gladden. J. McCuller was Julius McCuller, son of Ida Batton McCuller.
