Fitzgerald, Ga., July 6- Claude Hyde, who was shot at Bowens mill on the Fourth, died this morning at the sanitarium. Stuckey, of Rhine, who was stabbed by Hyde earlier in the day, is resting very easy at the Aldine hotel, and his physician has some hope of his recovery. Hyde made an ante-mortem statement while perfectly conscious that he was attacked by three men, while he was attempting to climb on the car steps and that one of them held him by the leg, while two others shot him in the back. His body had four bullets of two sizes in the back and side. The same gang attacked him a short time before, mistaking him for another man with whom they had a difficulty earlier in the day and while they had him down he opened his knife with his teeth and cut the one on top of him in the back and chest. The men who shot him later were friends of the man he stabbed.
