Kilburn, 407 W. Central Avenue, who died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 15, 1971) at Ben Hill County Hosptial, were conducted from Paulk Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Friday. Rev. Carlton Anderson officiated and interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Melval Brown, Martin Davis, Pete Roberts, Wade Cleary, C. M. Copeland and Jerry Pryor. Mrs. Kilburn was born June 21, 1891 in Emporia, Kansas, and came as a colonist to Fitzgerald in 1896. She had lived in the community since 1896. She was the widow of Conrad Kilburn and was a member of Central Methodist Church. Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Marie Johnson, Mercer, Pa., two half-brothers, Richard Hansel, Emporia, Kansas, and John Hansel, Kansas; four half-sisters, Mrs. Helen Kelly, Emporia, Kansas, Mrs. L. J. Haworth, Wichita, Kansas, Mrs. N. E. Durham, Chanute, Kansas, and Mrs. Martha Dixon, Starke, Fla.; a step-sister, Mrs. Lillian Burke, Atlanta. Six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
