He was 43. Rev. James Griffin and Dr.Wayne Roe officiated at the 2:00 p.m. service with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Pianist was Fatsy Spradlin and soloists: Nan Lee and Thelma Sheffield. Pallbearers were Robbie Davis, Ronnie David, Tommy Whittle, Gene Whittle,Norman Ethridge, Gene Clark, Philip Griner and Art Pryer. Honorary pallbearers were Sam Youmans,Billy Smith, Johnny Griffin,Johnny Morris, Randy Spradlin,George Warren, Doug Cooksey;Lawton Berotti, David Sumner,David Nyberg, Earl Ferry, Steve Aspinwall, and James Mills. The deceased was born June 1,1953 in Donalsonville, GA to James Carroll Whittle, Sr. and Margie McDaniel Whittle. The Mfg. Manager at Union Camp Corp. in Tifton and member of First Baptist Church, Mr. Whittle had lived in Tifton since 1990. He was a 1971 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and attended Georgia Tech on an athletic football scholarship and graduated in 1975 with a degree in Industrial Management. He was Tifton's Boss of the Year in 1994. He is survived by wife, Lynn W. Whittle of Tifton; two sons: James Carroll "Jay" Whittle,III and William Walker "Will"Whittle, both of Tifton; one sister: Jean Griffin of Irwinville.
