Mary Strickland

Mrs. Mary B. Strickland, 85, of Fitzgerald, passed away February 13, 
1997 at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
 Mrs. Strickland was born October 13, 1911 in Turner county and had 
lived in the community since 1994, moving back from Cochran. She was the 
daughter of Jim E. and Belie Nipper Bailey.
 She was a homemaker and was a member of The Church of Christ in Cochran.
 Survivors include her husband,James Harvey Strickland of Fitzgerald; 
one son, Ronnie Maddox of Yulee, FL; three stepsons, Junior L. 
Strickland of Duke,
Missouri, Bobbie R. Strickland and Sage A Strickland, both of 
Fitzgerald, two  stepdaughters,Lenora S. Kerby of Stillwater, OK and 
Doshia E. Mullis of Senoia,
GA; 15 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandchild.
 Funeral services were held Sunday, February 16, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. at 
the Burch-Hudson Funeral Home CBapel in Tifton with Jim Shadwick and 
Grandson Joe Hall
officiating.
 Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald.
 Burch-Hudson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
