Spinks, 80, of Fitzgerald died August 7, 2004 at his residence. Born October 14, 1923 in Dodge Co. to the late William Benjamin and Dessa Olara Parker Spinks, he was a retired boiler and kiln operator with Tollison Lumber Company. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Moose Lodge and County Landing Boat Club. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Spinks of Fitzgerald; one son, Steve Spinks of Middleburg, FL; two sisters, Dollie Hardeman of Nashville and Tansy Lord of New Port Richie, FL; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held August 11 at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Roy Conner officiating. Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
