W. Keith Announcement is made of the engagement of Miss Carol Frances Adams, daughter of Mrs. Homer Adams and the late Mr. Adams, to William Walton Keith, of Marietta, Ga., and Jacksonville, N. C., date of marriage to be announced later. Miss Adams attended Fitzgerald Public Schools and GSWC in Valdosta, and later went to business school and entered the offices of Dr. W. D. Wilcox and Dr. E. J. Dorminey. She is a charter member of Rho Chapter, Tau Beta Phi Sorority. Mr. Keith is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Keith, of Marietta, and is a graduate of the public schools there and of Georgia Tech, and was formerly employed in Fitzgerald. He is now with Car & Greiner Co. Jacksonville, N. C., where the young couple will reside. (note: This was in my grandmother's (Frances Newton) scrapbook. Keith FITZGERALD, Ga., Sept. 13-- Mrs. Homer Adams announces the marriage of her daughter, Miss Carol Frances Adams, to William Walton Keith, of Jacksonville, N. C., son of Superintendent of City Schools C. A. Keith, and Mrs. Keith, of Marietta. Dr. Walter K. Alexander, pastor of the First Baptist church in Florence, S. C., read the marriage lines at his home in the presence of relatives. The bride wore a fall ensemble of navy with navy accessories. Her flowers were valley lilies and tuberoses. The couple left for a honeymoon at a South Carolina beach and later will reside at New River, near Jacksonville, where Mr. Keith is an ingineer with Carr & Greiner Construction Company, working on the marine base. The bride is the only daughter of Mrs. Adams and the late Homer Adams. Her brothers are Baney Adams, James Adams and Homer Adams, all of Fitzgerald. She graduated from the Fitzgerald schools and attended Georgia State Woman's College in Valdosta. She is a member of the Rho chapter of Tau Beta Phi sorority. Mr. Keith is the elder son of his parents and has a brother, R. M. Keith of Marietta. His sisters are Mrs. Charles O'Dell, of Hapeville; Mrs. S. J. Carswell, of Thomaston and Miss Carolyn Keith of Marietta. He received his education at the Marietta High School and at Georgia School of Technology.
