Robert was the son of Algin Walter and Georgia Roberts Meadows and the grandson of Vincent T. Meadows. Robert and Rachel Meadows were in Colquitt Co., GA on the 1910 census, were in Tift Co., Ga on the 1920 census and in Ben Hill Co., GA on the 1830 census. Robert was also a minister. He was ordained at New Hope Baptist Church in the Scooterville Community of Worth Co., GA. He was one of the early pastors of Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church in the Pine Hill area of Worth Co., GA(info from the History of Worth County Georgia, Volume II by the Barnard Trail Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution). Robert T. Sutton Meadows was known to the family as "Uncle Bob". His parents A. Walter and Georgia Roberts Meadows are buried in Cool Springs Cemetery in Colquitt Co., GA as are his brothers Alonzo, Walter Madison and Woodard Oscar Meadows. Robert's father Vincent T. Meadows is buried in Butler City Cemetery in Butler, Taylor Co., GA probably in the M. D. Chapman and Mary Ann Meadows Chapman family plot.
