The lower floor of the palatial home was thrown en suite and was elaborately decorated with ferns and chrysanthemums arranged in baskets and floor vases. To the majestic strains of Mendelssohn’s wedding march the ribbon bearers, little Miss Ann Kirkland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Kirkland, and Master Wright McKay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan McKay, entered. They held ribbons by beautiful gold buckles, heirlooms of the Kirkland family. Little Miss Kirkland wore a dainty French frock of peach pussy willow, and had a gold band combined with an ostrich ornamenting her hair. Master McKay was attired in a white jersey suit sailor-fashioned. Next to enter were the bride and her maid of honor, Miss Louise Fluker, of Thomson, Ga. They were met at the altar by the groom and his best man, John D. Dorminy. The bride, a striking brunette, was beautiful in an ensemble suit of russet suede cloth trimmed in Hudson seal. Her hat was a becoming model of gold metal cloth and lace with touches of fur. She wore a corsage of bride roses, valley lilies and ostrich sprays. Following the ceremony a breakfast was served.
