Constable Bryant W. Graddy arrested the slayer and brought him to Nashville Monday afternoon. There were several witnesses to the killing, and they all agree that the killing was done in self-defense. Davis was drunk and forced Alston to fight. The warrant was sworn out by the wife of the murdered man.
