NASHVILLE -- Alice Alexander, 86, of Nashville, passed away Wednesday, January 
28, 1998 at Berrien County Hospital.
 She was born August 30, 1911 in Berrien Co. to Bill Jack Griner and Evie 
Rowan. She was a homemaker and a member of the Nashville Church of God.
 She is survived by four daughters, Jackie Mathis of Havana, FL; Marm Spires 
of Nashville, Eloise Iverson of Newnan and Othel Purvis of Alapaha; two sons, 
O. G. Alexander and Darrell Alexander, both of Nashville; 18 grandchildren and 
30 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Gertley Alexander and a daughter, 
Marie Alexander.
 Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Nashville Church of God. 
The Rev. Julian Strom will officiate. Interment will follow in Turner Church 
Cemetery. Visitation is tonight after 4 p.m. with the family receiving friends 
from 7-9 p.m.
 Lovein Funeral Home is serving the Alexander family
