 Ruth Virginia Alexander, 95, of Nashville died August 26, 2012, at Southlake N
Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville, FL.
 Born November 2, 1916, in Berrien County to the late Leon Lacy and Cora Belle 
Allen Parrish, she was a homemaker and was associated for many years with the 
former Farmers Livestock Auction Company. She was of the Primitive Baptist 
faith, had attended Long Bridge Primitive Baptist Church, and attended Flat 
Creek Baptist Church. She was the widow of James Oliver Alexander who died in 
1997 and was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Wilbur Vickers.  
 She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Vickers and Polly Harnage, both of 
Jacksonville; three grandchildren, Scott, Ericka and Chip, two great-grandchildren,
Skyler and Collin.
 Funeral services were held August 29 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of 
grandchildren, Skyler and Collin.

Funeral Home with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. Ben Blanton sang “Beulah 
Land” and “Amazing Grace.”
 Interment followed at Westview Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Scott Vickers, Dan Blanton, Chip Harnage, Steve McMillan, La
Larry Banks, Larry McMillan.
 Honorary pallbearers were Bill Perry, Buck Warren, J.H. Exum, Carlos Vickers, L
Larry Cooper, Steve Perry, Ronald Bennett, Phil McMillan, Lamar Vickers, Ed P
Perry, P.H. Danforth, Tim McMillan, Alton Exum.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
