Atkinson, 91, of Nashville died November 3, 2005 at his residence. Born June 16, 1924 in Limestone County, TX, to the late Marian A. and Lois O'Hara Atkinson, he was a retired manager with Piccadilly Cafeterias. He was a member of Nashville Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Lenora Sidner Atkinson of Nashville; three daughters, Linda Trout of Nashville, Sherron Sewell of Kirbyville, TX, Carol Ann Rooks of Memphis, TN; three sisters, Tommie Depenbrock of Spring, TX, Mary Frances Phelps of Cleveland, TX, Elizabeth of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held November 7 at 11 a.m. at Nashville First Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Williams officiating. Rev. B.J. and Teresa Holliday sang "His Eye is On the Sparrow" and "How Great Thou Art." Interment was in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Mark Rooks, Todd Rooks, John Trout, Brad Miljan, Warren Gilbert, Ralph Mulkey. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
