He was 56 years old. Bill was born and reared in Nashville and had lived all of his life here. He was a son of the late I.C. Avera and Mrs. Blanche Griner Avera. His wife, the former Eva Daugherty, passed away a number of years ago. Services will be held today at 4 p.m. at the Nashville Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Watson conducting the last rites. The deceased was a member of the Nashville Methodist Church. Burial will be in the old Nashville cemetery. The Lovein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pall-bearers will be W.K. Gaskins, Cyril Futch, Ben Avera, J.A. Mauldin, P.A. Harris, and S.T. Bragdon. Besides his mother he is survived by two sons, I.C. Avera of Vidor, Texas, and Guy Avera of Pensacola, Fla., one brother, Maston Avera, of Miami, Fla., and several grand-children.
