Born January 23, 1940, in Ocilla to the late Robert and Mattie Spicer DeBerry, she was a homemaker and retired secretary with the Berrien County Board of Education. She was a member of Alapaha Baptist Church and the widow of Benjamin Hilliard "Ben" Aycock who died on January 6, 2008. she was also preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. She is survived by two daughters, Jean Drawdy of Omega and Staci (B.B.) Ball of Eldorado; brother, Elton (Elaine) DeBerry of Fitzgerald; four grandchildren, Jason (Melissa) Drawdy, Jon Drawdy, Austin Ball, Benjamin Ball; great-grandson, Jayson Drawdy. Funeral services were held March 23 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home, the Rev. Kenneth Kicklighter, former interim pastor of Alapaha Baptist Church, officiating. Ken DeBerry, nephew gave a eulogy. Interment followed at Spring Cemetery in Irwin County with Paul Weldon officiating. Lovein Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
