 William Gary “Bill” Bailey, 79, of Nashville died February 19, 2013, at South 
Georgia Medical Center.
 He was born October 6, 1933, in Brooks County to the late Seaborn Edward and 
Inez Dampier Bailey. He was a retired Master Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force, 
served in the Korean War, and was a member of the VFW. He was preceded in death 
by three sisters and two brothers.
 He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hughes Bailey of Nashville; daughter, 
Tammy Nelson of Tifton; two sons, Gary Bailey of Tifton and Larry Bailey of 
Holliday, FL; four sisters, Edna LaVann Story of Waycross, Donna hiver of 
Tifton, Mary Mixon and Barbara Moore, both of Manor; four brothers, Johnny 
Bailey and Bruce Bailey both of Waycross, Aaron Wesley Bailey of Waynesville, 
Ronald Bailey of Boaz, AL; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held February 21 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Lovein 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett officiating.
 Interment followed at Westview Cemetery with full military honors.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
