 Melba Baldree, 79, of Nashville died Monday, February 23, 2015, at Tift 
Regional Medical Center.
 She was born April 24, 1935, in Ellington, FL to the late Clarence and Thelma 
McNabb Clanton. She was a homemaker and a retired clerk for the Berrien County 
Tax Commissioner. Melba and Gene were married for 60 years and she was a 
dedicated Air Force wife for 20 years. She was preceded in death by a daughter-
in-law, Debra Baldree.
 She is survived by her husband, Gene Baldree of Nashville; two daughters, Diane 
Williams of Marietta and Judy Bailey of Valdosta; son, Mike Baldree of 
Nashville; sister, Mable Byrd of Juliette; six grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held on February 25 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Lovein 
Funeral Home with the Rev. J. W. Dukes, III officiating.
 Interment was in Nashville Memorial Gardens.
