He was born October 6, 1929, in Nashville to the late W. B. and Idalene Enice Baldree and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Baldree was a member of the Swilley Hill Church of God and a retired construction superintendent with Vallorbe, Inc. He served as the construction superintendent during the building of Martin Stadium at Lowndes High School. Survivors include his wife of 62 years whom he dearly loved and was a devoted husband to, Georgie Baldree; his three children and their spouses, Judy and Wade Fox, Ricky and Neita Baldree, Ronda Baldree; extended family, Mike and Kim Burnham all of Valdosta; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; sister-in- law, Louise Baldree of Nashville; numerous nieces and nephews. The family is thankful and expresses their appreciation for the angels of Bethany Hospices for their love and care of Mr. Baldree during his illness. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Julian Baldree and Bill Baldree, and three sisters, Elma Schwab, Alberta Overstreet and Catherine Anderson. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on October 18 in the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Barden officiating.
