 Ala Jones Bandy, 87, of Greenville, SC died May 22, 2010 at Rolling Green Villag
Village.
 Born in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late David Mitchell and Mattie
Tyson
Tyson Jones and widow of the Rev. John James Bandy, Jr., She graduated from South
Southern Business University and Georgia Evening School, a division of the Unive
University of Georgia, and attended Indiana University. She was a member of First
First Baptist Church Greenville and the Price Sunday School Class. She was a homem
homemaker.
 Survivors include her daughter, Darla Bandy Hart and husband, Stephen of Alph
Alpharetta; son, John James Bandy, III; and wife Sheryl of Simpsonville; four gran
grandchildren, Barrett and Christine Hart, John James Bandy, IV and Mary Kath
Katherine Bandy; sister, Lawanna Davis and husband Donald; brothers, Larry Jone
Jones and wife Christine and Herbert Jones. She was preceded in death by a sist
sister, Helen Bullard and brothers, Virgil and Kenon Jones.
 The funeral service was held May 25 at Remembrance Chapel Mausoleum of Woo
Woodlawn Memorial Park at 1 p.m.
 Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown of Greenville was in charge of ar
arrangements.
