Born August 24, 1955 in Cook County to the late Carroll Floyd and Elma Louise Harper Barber, he was a machine operator with Heat Craft in Tifton. He was a member of Vickers Church. Survivors include his wife, Cathy Pence Barber of West Berrien; daughter, Samantha Barber of West Berrien; son, James Barber of West Berrien. Funeral services were held April 3 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Lawson officiating. Phyllis Boyd and Gene Barber sang "Amazing Grace" and "Where the Roses Never Fade." Interment was in Vickers Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Justin Wood, Jesse Harper, Chris Harper, Travis Harper, Stevie Pence, Chris Ball, Robert Lee, Johnny Pence. Honorary pallbearers were Darrell Harper, Larry Lisenby, Danny Smith, Donny Smith, Bogo Griffin, Joe Burns David Sumner, Brooks Bailey. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
