 John William Barnes, 45, of Perry died May 4, 2009, in Gainesville, FL foll
following a brief illness.
 He was the son of Rosa Mae Kirkland of Nashville and the late Carl Franklin Bar
Barnes, Sr. He had lived in Perry of and on since 2003, at times working away fro
from home in carpentry, automotive mechanics and construction jobs. He enjoyed hun
hunting, fishing and all outdoor activities. He was also preceded in death by a bro
brother, Buddy Barnes.
 Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife of ten years, Jennifer Ba
Barnes of Perry; son, john Henry Barnes of Perry; three daughters, Taylor Ch
Cheyenne Barnes and Tabitha Paige Barber both of Perry and Wendy Red of Mi
Mississippi; brothers, Ronnie Barnes and Donnie Barnes both of Nashville; si
sisters, Alice Speckhart of New York, Pam Woods of Perry and Shirley Boyer of Na
Nashville, grandchildren, Chad William Red, Scottie Eugene Red and Justin Mi
Michael Red; many nieces and nephews.
 A graveside service was held May 8 at Grush Cemetery also known as Pettis C
Cemetery in Perry with Bro. Billy Gipson officiating.
 Joe B. Burns Funeral Home of Perry was in charge of arrangements.
