Oddie Shelby Benefield, 83, of Nashville died December 14, 2013, at his 
residence.
 He was born June 7, 1930, in Berrien County to the late Willie Elijah and 
Jeanie Mae Griner Benefield. He was a mechanic. He was preceded in death by a 
son, Edward Benefield.
 Survivors are wife, Minnie Taft Benefield of Nashville; daughters, Vida 
Benefield of Ray City, Sealitta Bunch of Adel, Teresa Moore and Dawn Davis, both 
of Nashville and Alecia Phelps of Tifton; son, George Benefield of Nashville; 20 
grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
 Graveside services were held December 20 at 2 p.m. at Westview Cemetery with 
the Rev. Mike Bennett officiating.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
