 Martha Nell Blackmon, 81, of Nashville died October 29, 2013, at her residence.
 She was born November 30, 1931, in Berrien County to the late George 
Washington and Nellie Irene Roberson Rowan. She was retired from Moody A.F.B. 
Civil Service as supply manager after 33 years of service. She was a member of 
Nashville First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two daughters, 
Susan Gail Rollins and Cyndee Samarripas; a sister and five brothers.
 She is survived by her husband, Walt Blackmon of Nashville; son and daughter-
in-law, Roy and Robin Blackmon of Austin, TX; two grandsons, Rory Blackmon of 
Los Angeles, CA and Eric Blackmon of Austin, TX; several nieces and nephews.
 Funeral services were held November 2 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Lovein 
Funeral home with the Revs. Stanley Luke and Steve Pickern 
officiating. “Victory in Jesus” was played on CD.
 Interment followed at Nashville Memorial Gardens.
 Active pallbearers were Rory Blackmon, Eric Blackmon, Rondal Tomberlin, Tommy 
Watson, Larry Watson, Kevin Rowan, Gary Rowan, Jimmy Davis.
 Honorary pallbearers were Gary Schofill, Charlie Grant, Chauncey Spencer, 
Thomas Parr, Jackson Moore, Steve Lane, Ray Calvin.
 Memorials are requested to Hospice of South Georgia or Langdale Hospice House.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
