The Berrien Press - December 2005
 Horace Boyd, 80, of Rentz died December 16, 2005,
 Born in Berrien County to the late Seaborn and Arlie Lewis Boyd, he was a 
resident of Laurens County most of his life, he was a retired rural letter 
carrier. He was a member of Rentz Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, 
a Mason, and a Gideon. He was married to the late Eloise Moore Boyd.
 Survivors include two daughters, Linda Tomlinson of Thomson and Diane Alligood 
of Dexter; brother, Carson Boyd of Ray City; one sister, Ruth Sirmans of 
Valdosta; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held December 19 at 2 p.m. at Rentz Baptist Church with 
Rev. Tom Vann officiating.
 Interment was in Alligood Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Sean Alligood, Chris Tomlinson, David Whitaker, Ivan Sirmans, 
Ricky Boyd, Bill Boyd, Ricky Watson, Winston Sirmans,
 Honorary pallbearers were deacons of Rentz Baptist Church.
 Townsend Brothers Funeral Home of Dublin was in charge of arrangements.
