     Edna Charlene Brantley, 69, of Valdosta, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 15, 
2009, at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born Dec. 20, 1939, in Lanier 
County to the late Charlie and Clyide Moore Sirmans. She was a homemaker and a 
retired telephone operator with AT and T after 36 years of service. She is 
survived by her husband, Lonnie Raymond Brantley of Valdosta; daughter, Tonya 
Brantley, Macon; brother, Charles Glenn Sirmans, Conyers; numerous nieces, 
nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Zipperer. Fun
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at Pine Grove Mis
Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Sammy Reeves officiating. Interment wil
will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon until the fun
funeral hour Friday at the church.
 Selected family members served as pallbearers.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer S
Society or a Hospice of choice. 
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
