She was born February 5, 1928 in Berrien County to the late Christopher Columbus “Lum” and Gidner Bass Tatum. She was retired from Glasstream Boats and she was of the Pentacostal faith. She devoted much of her time caring for and nurturing her grandchildren and great-children. Her home was where the family met for Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas celebrations, because Mrs. Bristol loved cooking for her family more than anything else. Her home always welcomed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many of whom she raised or helped r raise. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Nell and Jackie Gaskins and Debra and Darrell Hill, all of Nashville, Judy and Tyler Craig of Douglas; sister Sarah Jarboe of Riverview, FL; grandchildren, Stacy Zanders, Jennifer Zanders, Rodney (Jenny) Smith, Tanya (Dusty) Bailey, Windell Gaskins, and Kyrin Hill; great-grandchildren, Calvin Scott, Kelsey Fussell, Madison Tayler Smith, Lance Bailey, Dalton Bailey, LaJacklin Zanders, and one great-great great-grandson, Devin Scott. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Junior Bristol, sister, L Lucille Tatum Mathis, and beloved grandchildren, Matthew Hill and Michael R Rollins. Funeral services were held July 12 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home wit Home with the Revs. Raymond Cason and R. T. Castleberry officiating. Interment was in Long Bridge Cemetery.
