M. "Hoss" Brogdon, 80, of Riverside Community of Nashville died September 29, 2004 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta. Born July 25, 1924 in Berrien Co. to the late Jesse and Martha Hendley Brogdon, he was a farmer and former Berrien Co. Commissioner. He was an Army veteran of WWII. Survivors include his wife, Edith Jones Brogdon of Nashville; one daughter, Patricia Lee of Nashville; two sons, Sheriff Jerry Brogdon and Donnie Brogdon, both of Nashville, six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two great- grandchildren. Funeral services were held Oct. 1 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Revs. Phillip Simmons and Mickey Lindsey officiating. Deborah Boyd sang "Amazing Grace," accompanied by Charlotte Dickerson. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Buddy Exum, Rusty Partin, Ricky Partin, Tom Lee, Josh Brogdon, Jed Brogdon, Kal Simmons, Parker Moore. Honorary pallbearers were Junior Luke, Herbert Watson, Rayford Odom, Eston Rowe, W. E. Hughes, Ronald Griner, Elton Vickers, Dr. Henry Richbourg, Judge W. D. Knight, Steve Roberts.
