 Billy Brogdon, 74, of Nashville, Ga., died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at his 
residence. He was born Dec. 20, 1934, in Berrien County to the late Clem 
Brogdon and the late Gladys Nix. He was a retired citrus grove supervisor. He 
was the widower of Barbara Ann Blackstock Brogdon, who died April 19, 2007. He 
was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He is survived by two daughters, 
Penny (Bud) Bullard of Augusta and Gina (Clarence) Adams of Boston; six sons, 
Billy "Bo" Brogdon Jr. of Nashville, Mike (Karen) Brogdon of Quitman, Jody 
Brogdon of Atlanta, Richard Brogdon of Augusta, William (Kim) Pafford of New 
Orleans, La., and Andy Vossler of New York, N.Y.; two sisters, Mildred Hall of 
Nashville and Betty Sumner of Nashville; three brothers, Eugene Brogdon of 
Nashville, George Brogdon of Nashville and Jerry Brogdon of Nashville; 15 
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Special thanks is given to his 
caregiver, Bonnie Boyd. Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at 11 
a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Daughtry. Songs o
on CD will include "Go Rest High On That Mountain," "Daddy's Hands," and "When I
I Get Where I'm Going."
Interment will follow in Nashville Memorial Gardens. "Amazing Grace" will be p
played on bagpipes. 
 Pallbearers will be Jim Hall, Ronald Hall, Josh Taylor, Donny Cersey, Andy 
Lewis, Derick Joiner, Lamar Boyd, Aubray Boweell. Visitation is Tuesday from 
7-9 p.m. 
  Lovein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
