 Carlton Brown, 78, of Nashville, died June 13, 2008 at his residence.
 He was born March 25, 1930 in Cook County to the late Odis and Zettie Lee Caty 
Brown. He was a retired district office manager for Propane Gas Sales; a member 
of the Abundant Life Chapel Assembly of God, and an Army veteran of Korea.
 He is survived by his wife, Alene Shaw Brown of Nashville; three daughters, 
Toni Keaton of Pearson, Carla Kirkland of Blackshear and Donna Sherman of 
Tallahassee, FL; son Ricky Brown of Tifton; brothers, Odis Brown Jr. and Herman 
Brown both of Hahira; a sister, Kathleen Patterson of Adel; nine grandchildren; 
six great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held on June 16 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Cason and the Rev. Edward Matthews 
officiating. Music on CD included "I'll Fly Away" and "Going Home."
 Interment was in Nashville Memorial Gardens.
 Active pallbearers were Ronald Whitley, Harry Keffer, Greg Vickers, Mark Shaw, 
Kevin Brown, Woodrow Hancock.
 Honorary pallbearers were Neal Gillis, H.F. Sears, James Woods, Danny Morris, 
Jeff Abel, Ed Tillery, Elmon Courson.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
