He was born August 21, 1930, in Berrien County to the late Grover Page and Nancy Exum Browning. He was a retired machine maintenance with Nashville Mills and was a former Alderman for the City of Nashville. He attended Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Randy Clenney, and an infant daughter, Kathleen Browning. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Roberts Browning of Nashville; three daughters, Rose Marie (Frank) Altman of Lady Lake, FL, Marlene (Dale) Baldree of Douglas, Karen (Danny) Whiddon of Nashville; four sons, Curtis (Karen) Browning of Valdosta, Marty (Ruth) Browning, Randy Browning, Matthew (Meilsa) Browning, all of Nashville; two sisters, Effie Lee Vickers of Alapaha and Loudell Williams of Omega; six brothers, Rev. Jesse Lee Browning of Reidsville, Hubert Browning and Robert Browning, both of Alapaha, and J.B. Browning, Vinson Browning, Russell Browning, all of Nashville; numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Funeral services were held October 11 at 3 p.m. at Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Calvin, Rev. Steve Pickern, and the Rev. Jesse Lee Browning officiating. Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
