He was born in Hillsborough Co., FL, on March 27, 1937. Mr. Bryan was a self-employed general insurance agent and was a member of Adel United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Nashville Post, 5978 Veterans of Foreign Wars and had served 15 years in the U.S. Army as chief warrant officer in the 101st airborne division. He saw tours of duty in Korea and Vietnam. He is survived by his mother, Myrtle Bryan of Ray City; daughter, Kathyrn Tatum of Tifton; three sons, Charles Gary Bryan, Jr. of Canton, Daniel James Bryan of Ocala and Donald McKinley Bryan of Hernando, Miss; two sisters, Barbara Frontera of Naylor and Betty Jean Starling of Ray City; and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001, in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville with the Rev. Craig Hutto officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery.
