  Betty Rose Buerger, 76, of Nashville died January 27, 2011, at Berrien Nursing 
Center.
 Born July 22, 1934, in Berrien County to the late Jacob Artis and Ella Inez 
Fender Purvis, she was a homemaker and retired bank teller. She was a member of 
Ray City United Methodist Church.
 Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Terry Hughes of Valdosta; 
brother and sister-in-law, Buddy and Delia Purvis of Ray City; granddaughter, 
Alexis Hughes; nephews, Scott Purvis and Kevin Purvis, great-nephew, Jake 
Purvis, great-niece, Michaela Purvis.
 The family honored her request for cremation.
 A memorial service was held January 30 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Mitchell officiating.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
