Buie Died in Valdosta Sunday Judge W.D. Buie, sixty years of age, and a pioneer citizen of Berrien county, died early Sunday morning at the Bird & Mixson hospital in this city. His health for several months has been very bad and he was brought to the hospital here for treatment. He appeared considerably improved but he had a backset Sunday which caused his death. Judge Buie had been a resident of Nashville for about thirty-three years, so he was a pioneer citizen of that place. A short time after his removal there, he was married to Miss Ann Mathis of that city and he is survived by his wife and six children, as follows: Lieut. Walter D. Buie of the United States army, stationed at Belleville, Ill.; Miss Grace Buie, a teacher in the junior high school of Cocoa, Fla.; Paul Buie, a student at the University of Georgia; Willie Buie, James Buie and Betty Buie of Nashville. Judge Buie was well known in Valdosta and throughout this section of the state. He was one of the best known lawyers of the Nashville bar and his death is universally lamented by all who knew him.
