 Blannie Ruth Barber Bush, 84, of Thomasville died Dec. 29, 2008 at Glen Mor 
Nursing Home.
 Born March 26, 1924 in Berrien County, she was the daughter of the late John 
E. and Lou Benefield Barber. She was married to the late Cleveland Bush. She 
was a homemaker and attended Nazarene Church and Vickers Holiness Church.
 Survivors include daughters, Mary E. Locklear of Dallas, Ellen L. Culpepper of 
Pavo, Jean C. Davis of Marianna, FL, Judy Stanaland of Middleburg, FL, Teresa 
Hartsfield of Florida, Darlene Kucksdorf of Jacksonville, ARK; sons, Rev. Jerry 
E. Bush of Oak Hill, WV, James Edward Bush of Waynesville, Randy P. Bush of 
Thomasville; 24 grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and numerous 
nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in 
death by a son, Billy Franklin Bush and two sisters, Leona Lindsey and Eula Lee 
Blount.
 Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 2 at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home 
Chapel with the Revs. Rick Mann and Charles Wolfe and Pastor Morris Pittman 
officiating. Danny May sang "I Can Only Imagine" and Larry Carter, Daniel Myers 
and Randall Myers sang "Beulah Land" and "Amazing Grace."
 Interment was in Vickers Cemetery in Nashville.
 Active pallbearers were Josh Stanaland, Nathan Bush, Josh May, Danny May, Joe 
Davis, Gary Stevens.
 Honorary pallbearers were nephews, Edward Blount, Johnny Blount, Melvin Blount.
 Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home of Thomasville was in charge of arrangements.
