 Whitney Nicole Smith, 23, of Sparks died April 11, 2013 at Cook Medical Center.
 Born November 27, 1989 to Tony Smith of Sparks and the late Dorothy Taylor S
Smith, she attended Hope Baptist Church in Nashville.
 Survivors, in addition to her father, include her husband, Fred Carlo, IV of 
Hahira; her step-mother, Kitty Smith of Sparks; son, Joseph Colt Carlo, of 
Hahira; two daughters, Emily Grace Smith and Annsley Drew Carlo, both of 
Hahira; brothers, Lee Taylor of Lenox, Corey Scruggs of Gainesville, GA, Tony 
Ray Smith and Gabriel Fleming, both of Lakeland, FL; sister, Keisha Griffin of 
Adel; paternal grandparents, Donald R. and Sally L. Smith of Nashville; 
numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her mother, she was also 
preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Nora Taylor, and her aunt, 
Carolyn DeHoff.
 Funeral services were held April 14 at Purvis Funeral Home with Pastor Ray 
Calvin officiating. Music selection were “In the Arms of an Angel” and “Amazing 
Grace” sung by Olivia Taylor and “Go Rest High on That Mountain” and “Sissy’s 
Song” played on CD.
 Interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery Annex.
 Pallbearers were J.W. Brown, Dusty Moore, Roger Brown, David Lehman, Robbie Sande
Sanders, Alex Smith.
 Purvis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
