Born July 11, 1990, in Lowndes County to Laurel Helen Morris and Douglas Dewitt Carter II, he was a student at Berrien High School where he was a member of the Berrien Rebel football team and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He was a member of Nashville United Methodist Church and was an active driver in his favorite sport, go cart racing. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include three sisters, Claire, Emily and Sara Carter, all of Nashville, maternal grandparents, Hansel & Marge Morris of Nashville, paternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Douglas & Shelba Carter of Nashville; paternal grandmother, Eloise Carter of Dalton; paternal great-grandmother, Lillian Carter of Nashville. Funeral services were held December 22 at 11 a.m. in the Family Life Center of Nashville United Methodist Church with Rev. Dwight Bishop officiating. Tanner Strickland and Jonathan Wells sang "Go Rest High on that Mountain: and "Beautiful." Misty Barber sang "Mary, Did You Know?" Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
