 Mamie Lou Carter, 91, of Ray City died December 31, 2004 at Berrien Nursing 
Center.

 Born November 9, 1913 in Berrien County to the late Charlie H. and Lillian Ray 
Blanton, she was a homemaker and of the Primitive Baptist faith. She was 
preceded in death by her first husband, Jasper Hillsmon Roberts.

 Survivors include her husband, P.C. Carter of Ray City; one step-son, Selvin 
Carter of Valdosta; two step-daughters, Deree Simpson and Madge Croft, both of 
Valdosta.

 Funeral services were held January 2 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral 
Home with Elder Thad Marshall and Rev. Terrell Roberts officiating. The 
congregation sang "Amazing Grace."

 Interment was in New Ramah Cemetery.

 Pallbearers were Wayne Blanton, Jason Jones, Ron Blanton, Denny Smith, Terry 
Smith, Hank Blanton, Roger Blanton.

 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
