  Barbara Elaine Carter, 65 of Nashville passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at 
her residence. She was born on Sept. 1, 1943, in Berrien County to Clark Futch 
and the late Frances Nicholson Futch. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist 
faith. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Carter of Nashville; three 
daughters, Laura Michelle Simpson, Adel, Lana Carter, Fairfax, Va., Jennifer 
Mac Welch, Fredericksburg, Va.; father; Clark Futch; one sister, Wilma Futch, 
Nashville; one brother, Bob Futch, Nashville; and five grandchildren. A 
graveside funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at 2 p.m. in 
Westview Cemetery with Dr. Swinton Futch officiating. Visitation will be held M
Monday from 9 a.m. until the hour of services. "How Great Thou Art" and "I Want T
To Stroll Over Heaven With You" were played on CD.
 Pallbearers were Dell Futch, Jamie Futch, Clark Futch, Auston Simpson, Nathan 
Simpson, Kevin Harrod.
   Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
