 Gertie Futch Clance, 93, of Nashville died January 16, 2005 at South Georgia 
Medical Center in Valdosta.
 Born March 23, 1911 in Coffee County to the late Warren and Irene Edenfield 
Davis, she was a homemaker, a former cashier with Winn Dixie in Jacksonville, 
FL and a retired beautician. She was a member of Ray City United Methodist 
Church and was married to the late Henry Luther Clance and the late Luther 
Randal Futch.
 Survivors include sister, Ruby Winters of West Green, brother, Hillie D. Davis 
of Valdosta.
 Funeral services were held January 18 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein 
Funeral Home with the Revs. Wayne Mitchell and Boyd Winters, Jr. officiating.
 Interment was in Pleasant Cemetery.
 Selected family members served as pallbearers.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
