She was born on July 9, 1933, in Berrien County to the late John and Elizabeth Stone. She was a homemaker and attended Nashville First Church of the Nazarene. She was the widow of Albert Everett Clanton who died Feb. 10, 2008. She is survived by one sister, Lorine Knowles of Bloomingdale, nephew Ted "Amanda" Knowles, Jr. and their children, Ashley Knowles and Stephanie and Hunter Horton. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Dean officiating. "I'll Fly Away" and "Amazing Grace" were played on CD. Interment will be held in Long Bridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held this evening from 7-9 p.m. Pallbearers were Ted Knowles, Hunter Horton, Charles Rowe, Junior Stone, Muncho Stone, John Exum. Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville was in charge of arrangements.
