Born August 1, 1923 in Perrine, FL to the late Bruce A. and Fannie Brantley Hendley, she was a homemaker and of the Holiness Baptist faith. She was married to the late James Edwin Clanton. Survivors include two daughters and one son in law, Robbie Nell and Robert Corey and Nelda Sue Wilson, all of Lake Park; two sons and three daughters in law, Russell and Barbara Clanton of Valdosta, Lamar and Louise Clanton of Talking Rock, Sylvia Clanton of Valdosta; sister, Ruby Greene of Adel; nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by son, George Clanton, two grandchildren, Donna Lasseter and Allen Corey; two brothers, two sisters and son in law, Doug Wilson. Funeral services were held October 18 at 2 p.m. at Long Bridge Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Aaron Clanton officiating. Interment was in Long Bridge Cemetery. McLane Lakewood Funeral Home of Lake Park was in charge of arrangements.
