 Mae Dee Yancey Clifton, 93, of Deland, FL died February 23, 2008 at her 
residence.
 Born in Nashville, she moved to Florida in 1933. She was a homemaker and 
member of Stetson Baptist Church since 1934, served on the counting committee 
for over 25 years and was a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of the 
Civitan Club, Business and Professional Women's Club and W.M.U.
 Survivors include her daughter, Margaret Lee, Deland; three brothers, J.T. 
Nix, Nashville, Ulmar Nix, Oklahoma City, OK, Billy Nix, Lakeland; five 
sisters, Betty Martin, Glenda Bailey and Dean Connell all of Nashville, 
Christine Burch, Jacksonville, FL, Ernestine Browning, Reidsville; four 
grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held February 26 at 2 p.m. at Stetson Baptist Church 
with the Rev. Reggie May officiating. Burial was in Oakdale Cemetery in DeLand.
 Lankford Funeral Home of Deland was in charge of arrangements.
