She was stricken with influenza which developed into pneumonia, causing her death. Her husband was unable to attend her during her illness on account of being in bed with influenza. Mr. and Mrs. Clyatt had been married something like twelve years. During that time Mrs. Clyatt has become a member of the Missionary Baptist Church and her life has been an example of a good wife. Her home life was that of a wife and mother who was fond of the sphere in which she reigned and whose highest aim was to spread happiness among those she held dearest. She was about 31 years of age and the daughter of the late Rev. B.L. Starling. Besides her husband, Mrs. Clyatt leaves four children of her own, the youngest being only one month old, five step-children, her mother, two brothers, and two sisters. She was buried at the cemetery here the funeral ceremonies being conducted by Rev. J.D. Poindexter at the Baptist Church. Friends of the family sympathize with them in their bereavement.
