 Rudine Allen Cofield, 80, of Valdosta died February 29, 2004 at Smith 
Northview Hospital.

 Born June 6, 1923 to the late Levin and Emma Bennett Allen, she was a retired 
sales associate with the Cantebury Shop of Olan H. Luke and manager of Smart 
and Thrifty Dress Shop. She was a member of Azalea City Church of God and was 
married to the late J.B. Cofield, Sr.

 Survivors include three sons, J.B. Cofield, Jr. of Jacksonville, Dewey "Judge" 
Cofield of Valdosta, and Bobby Cofield of Tifton; two daughters, Denise Stewart 
of Nashville and Shirley Bostick of Valdosta; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-
grandchildren.

 Funeral services were held March 3 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Carson McLane 
Funeral Home with the Revs. Carroll Allen, Terry Browning and Raymond Gabbard 
officiating.

 Interment was in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

 Carson McLane Funeral Home of Valdosta was in charge of arrangements.
