 Eula Ida Commander, 90, of Valdosta died June 2, 2012, at her residence.
 She was born March 19, 1922, in Berrien County to the late Samuel Mitchell and V
Viola Adkins Griffin. She was a retired LPN, representative for Stanley Home P
Products and a foreign correspondent in China for the former Nashville Herald. S
She was a member of LongBridge Primitive Church.
 She is survived by her daughter, Susan Kay (Larry) Grooms of Valdosta; sons, 
Jerry D. (Angie) Commander of Valdosta and Joe (Ann) Commander of Murfressboro, 
TN; six grandchildren. Clay Grooms, Joshua Commander, Samuel Commander, Shantel 
Perry, Kyle Commander, Jessica Commander; eight great-grandchildren, Bonnie Grooms
Grooms, Jennifer Grooms, Elizabeth Grooms, Fletcher Commander, Christian Comman
Commander, Haley Commander, Vega Commander, Emmeline Perry.
 Funeral services were held June 5 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral home.

 Interment followed at Westview Cemetery.
