NASHVILLE -- Evie Connell, 95, of Nashville died January 31, 2006 at Berrien 
Nursing Center.
 Born February 23, 1910 in Berrien County to the late John Raymond and Laura 
Frances Mathis Tyson, she was a homemaker and retired executive director for 
the Berrien County Department of Family and Children Services. She was a 
member of Nashville First Baptist Church and the Tel Sunday School Class and a 
member of Eastern Star. She was married to the late W. Guy Connell.
 Survivors include three sons, Wendell Connell of Nashville, Chris Connell of 
Fort Walton Beach, FL, Donnie Connell of Tifton; one sister, Sarah Phillips of 
Fitzgerald; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held Feb. 2 at 11 a.m. at Nashville First Baptist 
Church with the Revs. Billy Southerland and Richard Williams officiating. 
Deborah Boyd sang "The Lord's Prayer, "How Great Thou Art," and "In the 
Garden."
 Interment was in Westview Cemetery.
 Pallbearers wee Brian Connell, Matt Connell, Will Connell, Patrick Connell, 
Michael Connell, Mark Connell.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
